EPL, La Liga & Carabao Cup Final Preview!

We`re in for yet another exciting weekend – this time our eyes are set on the Premier League, Spanish La Liga, and the Carabao Cup Final!

Leicester vs Arsenal

The Foxes go into the fixture on the back of an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend. The defeat was their 1st in 5 games across all competitions and their bottom-half escape mission might take another hit as they face Arsenal. Although, before the trip to Old Trafford, the Foxes scored 8 goals in 2 games and might fancy the chances against a leaky Arsenal backline.

The Gunners climbed back to the Premier League summit with a 4-2 victory over Villa, breaking their 4-game winless streak. With a 2-point lead, Arsenal still has a game in hand on City and the odds are in their favour to keep it that way. The Gunners won 4 of the last 5 times these 2 sides met, including a reverse fixture which ended in a 4-2 win for them. Therefore, we expect Arsenal to win & over 2.5 goals in the game.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid

Confidence will be through the roof in Ancelotti`s camp after they crushed Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield in their Champions League tie. Real currently sits 8 points adrift from the summit, however, has been a headache for defences – having scored 11 goals in just 3 of their last games. They have also won all 4 of their last Madrid Derby at the Santiago Bernabeu and it is unlikely that in their current form, they will slip up.

Atletico goes into the fixture on the back of a 1-0 victory over Bilbao, which marked their 4th game without a loss in all competitions. However, in all 5 of their last fixtures, Atletico scored just one goal, giving us little confidence in their attacking prowess. For the fans, the Madrid Derby has always delivered a spectacle and this time we expect a high-scoring one, with Real Madrid winning and both teams scoring.

Manchester United vs Newcastle (Carabao Cup Final)

Ten Hag will be hungry to mark his first Premier League season with a piece of silverware. Manchester United will be the clear favourites, after knocking Barcelona out with a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford on Thursday night – marking their 9th game without a loss in all competitions. Before the R32 clash, the Devils crushed Leicester by a 3-goal margin, therefore at the moment, all odds are in favour of ten Hag`s side.

Newcastle goes into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool and a 3-game winless run. Once considered serious title-contenders, the Magpies dropped in the race & now find themselves 5 on the EPL table. Reaching a final is still a big accomplishment for Howe`s side, but looking at the 2 forms things are not looking good for Newcastle. To add salt to the wounds, Newcastle will be without Nick Pope or Martin Dubravka in between the poles. The Red Devils won 3 of their last 5 meetings, but the last 2 ended in a draw. Considering their form, we expect Manchester United to win, but we also expect a tight clash with under (2.5) goals.
