Champions League and Europa League Semifinals Preview!

All eyes are set on this week's semifinals in the Champions League and Europa League! Have a look at our match previews!

Real Madrid vs Manchester City

Real Madrid put 4 past Chelsea over the 2 quarterfinals legs. Madridistas are going into the game with full confidence, having secured the Copa Del Rey trophy in their last fixture. However, their overall form has been shaky, having won 3 and lost 2 in their last 5 games. They have also conceded 2 goals in 3 consecutive La Liga fixtures, which is a major concern when facing a free-scoring City side.

The Citizens crushed the Bavarian giants with a 4-1 agg. score in the quarterfinals. City`s form has been unmatched, as they`ve now won 20 consecutive fixtures in all competitions. They`ve won 3 of the last 4 meetings with Madrid, although the Spanish side knocked them out in last year`s competition with a 6-5 agg. score. However, considering City`s free-scoring form and Madrid`s shaky backline, we expect Manchester City to win and over 2.5 goals.

AC Milan vs Inter Milan

A special derby in the semifinals at the shared stadium of San Siro. AC Milan knocked out the Serie A champions, Napoli, while Inter netted 5 past Benfica. AC Milan have been unbeaten in 9 games in all competitions, although just 4 of those were victories. Piolo`s men have also had problems against Inter this season, losing 2 of the 3 encounters, and have failed to score a single goal in the last 2.

Inzaghi`s boys go into the game in great form – 5 consecutive victories since the 3-3 Benfica draw, scoring a total of 14 goals and conceding just 1. As previously mentioned, Inter has beaten Milan for 2 consecutive games and considering their run of form is likely to be a problem yet again. Considering what`s at stake, we think this will be a tight game. Therefore, we expect under 2.5 goals and Inter Milan to win.

 Juventus vs Sevilla

Juventus recovered from a 5-game winless streak with 2 consecutive Serie A victories. With the Serie A title now gone, they will shift their focus to the remaining silverware. The Italian outfit is yet to lose a home game in the Europa League this season, although they`ve scored just 1 goal in all 3. Still, the Allianz Stadium has been strong this season, as Juve lost just 2 of their 17 home games in Serie A.

Sevilla man-handled Man United in the quarterfinals, winning 5-2 on agg. Similar to Juventus, their only hope for silverware is the familiar Europa League trophy. Their recent form has been decent – having lost just 1 of their 9 games in all competitions. However, the Spaniards are yet to win a single European away game this season, and their last game against Juventus was back in 2015. Therefore, we expect Juventus to win but under 2.5 goals.
