Premier League Final Day Preview 28.05

The decisive final day of the Premier League is coming our way this Sunday! We`ve got a few games that have caught our attention!

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Chelsea seem to not do themselves any favours despite a season to forget, as they come off a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United, but now they have a chance to give the fans one last win of the season at Stamford Bridge. The home fans have not seen a win in 6 consecutive games, however, Newcastle`s last victory on the Blue side of London came back in 2012.

With the Champions League secured, Newcastle have earned their right to breathe on Sunday. The Magpies are coming off a draw against Leicester and are certainly a threat on the road having lost just 3 away games this season in the EPL. The Magpies beat Chelsea 1-0 in the reverse fixture but lost in 10 successive trips to Stamford Bridge. Overall, we expect an exciting fixture, and we anticipate both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.

Leicester vs West Ham

The Foxes need a win and a ton of luck from the other fixtures in order to stay in the English top flight. Leicester have failed to win in 5 consecutive EPL games, however, they managed to hold Newcastle to a 0-0 draw in their recent game. Unfortunately, they`ve lost 4 of their 18 home games this season, but with the stakes high, we might see a switched-on Leicester outfit.

Although in the bottom half of the table, the Hammers are safe and also have a European final to look forward to. West Ham go into the game on the back of a 3-1 home victory against Leeds and will certainly want revenge for the 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture. The Hammers drew 2-2 and won 3-0 in their last 2 visits to Leicester. However, they`ve lost 3 consecutive away games in the EPL as of late. Anything can happen here, but we do expect both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.

Manchester United vs Fulham

The Red Devils secured their UCL spot in style with a 4-1 victory over Chelsea. Ten Hag has turned Old Trafford into a fortress this season, having won 17 consecutive EPL fixtures at home, and we don`t see this changing on Sunday. Furthermore, Fulham has failed to win a game at Old Trafford in over 17 games. We expect United to cruise here and finish in 3rd.

Fulham is finishing the season with some style, having been unbeaten in 3 successive EPL games. However, their luck is likely to run out on the last day as Old Trafford has been a nightmare for the London outfit. Fulham lost 3-1 to United in the FA Cup at Old Trafford this season, and although they may have some confidence with their recent run, considering United`s performance against Chelsea we anticipate Manchester United to win by 2+ goals, and over 2.5 goals in the game.
